We at Legacy will take your treasured memories and convert them into the digital world and give you back a finished product that you can be proud of. Many families wait too long to get information and details about their early family, until there is no longer anyone that has that first hand information to provide. Don't let this happen to you, create your record now, while memories are fresh and someone can provide the needed perspective.
We will pick-up all materials (photos, movies, videotape, mementos, awards) for a production, and treat them with utmost care while in our possession. You will create the order of the presentation, whether it is chronological, by group, or any other scheme that is appealing. You will participate with us in reviewing the rough cut video and will have final say in the production. You will choose with our help an appropriate musical background, including several songs or tunes depending on the length of the video. A narrative can be added to the presentation for help in identifying individuals or to incorporate a personal message to the viewers. Titles will be included that can separate segments of the presentation and help organize the flow of the video.
If you are not happy with your custom video for any reason, we will happily redo it or refund your full purchase price.
Video Instructions
- The first step is to organize the materials in the manner that you would like them presented (chronologically, individual segments, individual groups). If you have difficulty here, please call and we'll be happy to help.
- After completing step 1, go back and consecutively number each item in pencil on the reverse side in the lower right hand corner.
- Next review the materials and order you have put together and see if it makes sense to you (please add any special instructions on a separate sheet of paper referencing the number of the item). Remember, each photo or item will be on screen for an average of 5 seconds. Make any corrections and at this time take a blank sheet of white paper and on it give us any titling ideas you might have (please number this sheet with the item numbers between which it will be inserted i.e. 29/30).
- While you are reviewing your materials, please be thinking about the music and any voice-overs you would like on the finished production. We can utilize music you already have in the format of cd's or we can help you with suggestions. Voice-overs are not absolutely necessary, but do help to personalize the production. Titles can also be added to the production to help identify individuals or groups.
- After all the above steps have been completed, please contact us and we will be happy to schedule a time to pick-up the materials. For those of you sending materials to us, please pack the photos and memorabilia securely in a well-cushioned carton and send by the carrier of your choice. We will provide you with a receipt of materials with an estimate of the time frame within which you can expect to see the rough cut version of the production.
- After your review of the rough cut, please provide your comments and any additional edits required. Once received, we will re-edit, insert the music and voice-over and send your finished production to you.
